Lost and Found

I am of twenty five years and am still trying to figure out this great big life. I was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado just west of the city called Fort Collins. It is a college town and I am one of the many who sought higher education through alternating substances of self medication. My studies have left me with many great memories that are unfortunately pot holed with just as many regrets.  I have spent the last four years of my life pretending that everything is coming up Ktrain, but in reality I have been derailed.  Somewhere between success and finding myself I jumped the tracks and have become stuck in this epoch battle. I have used many tools in my search for both self and something else but as of now alcohol has had the biggest effect for better or worse. I started writing around the same time that I jumped the tracks and have found it to be a welcomed passion.

My last three months in Colorado were spent in a place named the Larimer County Detention Center, it is better known as the local jail. I am now living and working in the city that never sleeps and it has awoken the den of my many hibernating bears. They are slowly rising from the deepest of slumbers and one by one they roar the new facets of my previously slumbered states.  Their cries are silenced by my return to the same old way of escaping from myself.
